YOUR DAY TO DAY LIFE We are looking for a Product Manager in 3600 Eagle Nest Dr, Crete, IL 60417 USA. Your mission will be to: Purpose (Objective): Provide support for Program Managers and understand the goals/objectives/policies of the assigned client programs, generally in the fields of food quality or food safety. Beyond understanding, you will be responsible for LIMS product and program creation, helping invoice and collecting on past due invoices. Status reports and troubleshooting outputs may also be required. This position may be dedicated to a single key account or responsible for the programs of many clients. This position will interact with numerous internal and external people. Our key accounts typically will have multiple locations and contact people. The incumbent may also communicate with suppliers, vendors, other third party groups as well as act as a liaison for departments within our company, such as customer care, technical sales managers, key account managers and other functions as needed. This job focuses on serving the unique needs of the assigned client programs and is critical to the overall success in maintaining and growing the business. Main activities: * Source samples, maintain relationships and email communication with suppliers that participate in restaurant program testing, if applicable. * Learn and understand the assigned program and its overarching goals. Maintain program knowledge even as the program changes. Supporting Program Managers in new special projects may also be included in the scope of this job. * Build strong relationships with the Program Manager and client contacts as well as with other stakeholders and co-workers. * Formulate, organize and monitor inter-connected projects that allow the overarching goal to be satisfactorily completed. Decide on suitable approaches to current and new objectives, as they are added. * Provide hands on program management support which may include account set up, supplier on boarding, sample pick-up or scheduling details, etc., and comply with company policies and standards that govern this work. Coordinate activities among local staff as well as staff in other parts of our company, suppliers and possibly other third parties. * Prepare status reports for internal and external use. Keep stakeholders informed on progress or issues. * Troubleshoot and provide new options to help meet overarching goals as well as granular objectives * Perform other related duties as needed. * As the signal point of contact for our client, you will be responsible for providing a 360 degree view of the account in its entirety within Merieux NutriSciences and our client. * Participate in annual training certification to maintain working knowledge of tools required to perform the job; not limited to the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), CRM, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). * Work with our Program Managers to support routine and special projects. * Perform other related duties as needed. Communication: Internal Interlocutors: Local Team Members External Interlocutors: Client Team Members YOUR PROFILE Profile : BS in a related field with 2 yrs experience Required skills: * Five (5) plus years experience in a customer facing or project management setting * A BS/BA degree is desired. A background in Food Science, Biology, Microbiology or Chemistry would be helpful. * Must be able to effectively communicate information related to laboratory testing methods and qualitative or quantitative results to clients. * Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office software is desirable. Experience with LIMS or CRM software systems are a plus. * Exposure to food processing or quality assurance is beneficial in this role. * Interpersonal skills are required for this position in order to build and maintain relationships within the organization and with external clients. * This position requires exceptional, verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients and colleagues. * Multi tasking, prioritization, superior follow up skills and attention to detail are also required for success in this role.
