Patient Access Liaison - Orthopedic Service Line (Contingent) Location: 1201 E Michigan Ave Ste 300 Jackson, MI 49201 Department: Orthopedics Schedule: Contingent About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Patient Access Liaison to support outpatient access and scheduling across the orthopedic service line. This role functions as the owner of the master schedule template, responsible for managing provider schedules, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring consistent, standardized scheduling practices across all sites of care. You will serve as a centralized resource for patients, referring physicians, and internal stakeholders, helping to streamline access and improve scheduling efficiency. Key Responsibilities Solely manage and maintain the master schedule template for the orthopedic service line. Own all schedule changes and ensure consistency across all clinic resources and locations. Collaborate with Contact Center, RPO, and other scheduling teams to align workflows. Act as a centralized resource for scheduling inquiries from patients, providers, and referring offices. Ensure standardized scheduling protocols and procedures are followed across all sites. Respond promptly to patient scheduling needs and access challenges. Monitor outpatient availability and report on scheduling trends and gaps. Adapt to evolving workflows and procedural changes while maintaining accuracy and efficiency. Qualifications Prior experience or foundational knowledge in orthopedic care strongly preferred. Proficient in-patient scheduling systems and communication tools. Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced clinical environments. Strong multitasking and organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. Comfortable working independently under general supervision. Why Join Us? Associates degree/ two years or more of college is preferred. A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a business office/healthcare environment including experience with scheduling appointments and schedule maintenance. Analytical ability required preparing physicians' schedules is preferred. Familiarity with computer applications in a PC and patient scheduling environment is required as well as the strong Microsoft office skills. Additional Information
