We are hiring a
Finance Operations Manager to support our Accounting and Finance Team at Designtex. This role will lead the transformation and optimization of financial processes across the department through conducting a deep operational review of all Accounting and Finance functions. Upon identifying operational inefficiencies/opportunities for improvement, this position will drive initiatives, both process level and through enhanced utilization of available technology, that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. In addition, this position will lead optimization projects defined on the Finance roadmap.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Team leadership and accounting/finance operations management is strongly desired (managing AP or AR functions.)
- Experience in managing, coaching, developing, and mentoring a team is required, with a strong emphasis on leadership, skill-building, and fostering professional growth within the organization.
- 5-10 years of experience in general corporate accounting, including financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and the ability to learn new systems and software (both financial and non-financial) is critical.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills are essential, with the ability to effectively engage with both internal and external customers and convey information clearly and concisely across all organizational levels.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting combined with three to five years of corporate accounting experience, displaying progressively increasing responsibilities.
- Team leadership and accounting/finance operations management is strongly desired
- Prior experience with Epicor, SAP, XL Connect, Spreadsheet Server (Insight Software), Microsoft Office and other IT systems is desired.
- The ideal candidate must possess expertise in general accounting and financial operations while also demonstrating the ability to think strategically.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Conduct a thorough assessment of current workflows across all Accounting + Finance functions, identify areas for improvement, automation, and standardization that will establish best-in-class practices, streamline operations, increase team efficiency and deliver greater value to the business.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (ex. IT), as needed, to define roadmap for bug/issue resolution, additional existing Epicor module utilization and other best practices that will streamline departmental operations.
- Spearhead robust training and process documentation library creation, ensuring all business-critical processes and procedures are covered to support business continuity.
- Lead and manage the execution of high-impact projects including 1) ACH + Document Digitalization, 2) Avalara Tax Cert Management and 3) Bank Reconciliation module set-up/implementation.
- Support the Controller and the financial/accounting close process to ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Ensure compliance with internal control policies and procedures, while also identifying and addressing the company's internal reporting requirements.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the accounting/finance teams by fostering an environment of continuous learning and development, elevating team competencies through targeted training and professional growth opportunities, implementing robust succession planning to ensure future leadership readiness, and promoting cross-training initiatives to build a well-rounded and resilient team structure.
- Support audits and coordinate with internal/external auditors, regulatory agencies, and other relevant third parties as needed.
- Serve as a resource and troubleshooter by providing expert support within the department and collaborating cross-functionally to identify and resolve challenges, ensuring seamless operations and fostering a problem-solving culture across the organization.
