The Spirit of the Position:

The Special Event Manager oversees the campus parking operation of event(s), such as: entertainment events, sporting events, cultural events, under the direction of the Sr. Manager to ensure 24/7 professional event management. As a company devoted to promoting an employee-focused servant leadership culture, the Special Event Manager will support the programs and initiatives originating from our home office and help to support the individual needs of their operational teams throughout their assigned event (s).

Principle Job Duties:

- Plan, organize, and execute events from inception to completion, ensuring all logistical and operational aspects are seamlessly managed.
- Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring financial efficiency and adherence to allocated resources.
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to align event objectives and deliver a cohesive experience.
- Oversee event staff, including recruitment, scheduling, training, and performance management to ensure high standards of service and execution.
- Monitor and evaluate event performance through feedback and data analysis, implementing improvements for future events.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and legal regulations related to event operations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including clients, sponsors, and partners, to enhance event success and business growth.
- Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education

- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.

Experience

- 3 years in a Management role.
- Knowledge of Excel, Word, Power Point and General Microsoft Office Applications.
- Parking and Event management experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to be flexible in schedule in order to meet operational needs. This may require occasionally working outside of regularly scheduled hours.

Physical Demands:

- Willingness to work in the elements - heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
- Ability to lift, push and pull at least 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time.
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
