Purpose of Position

The Supervisor, Master Data is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of the organization's master data, which includes crucial information like customer details, materials information, and supplier data. They play a vital role in establishing and enforcing data governance policies, maintaining data quality, and collaborating with various departments to ensure a unified and reliable source of truth for business-critical information.

Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day Master Data Management operations and ensure adherence to established processes.
  • Implement and enforce data governance standards, policies, and procedures to ensure data quality and compliance.
  • Monitor data quality, identify areas for improvement, and coordinate data purging and enrichment activities.
  • Lead and develop a team of master data coordinators, providing guidance, training, and support in data management best practices.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews and develop performance improvement plans as needed
  • Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to define data requirements, ensure alignment with Master Data Management principles, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Work closely with IT to optimize the technical and functional setup of Master Data Management systems and related technologies.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in master data management activities.
  • Support data migration projects and the implementation of new systems that involve master data.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant data security, privacy regulations, and company policies.
  • Coordinate data audits and facilitate the resolution of data management and quality issues.
  • Develop, review, and manage metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for master data, linking them to overall business trends.
Minimum Education
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
Minimum Experience
  • 5 years SAP ECC Master Data
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred but not required
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Proficiency in SAP ECC data management, Excel, SmartSheet
  • Knowledge of data governance practices
  • Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail, collaboration, and organizational abilities
  • Drive for continuous improvement
  • Ability to multi-task, think critically and adapt to change
