As the Senior Marketing & Communications Specialist for Together for Youth, you'll play a key role in amplifying our voice, building brand awareness, and inspiring action across New York State. You'll work alongside passionate colleagues to tell the stories of the youth and families we serve-creatively, authentically, and impactfully.

You'll bring your marketing strategy, project management, communication, and digital content skills to help us grow awareness, drive recruitment (foster parents, staff, and donors), and deepen community engagement. This is your opportunity to lead meaningful campaigns, experiment with new ideas, and build a powerful brand story in partnership with a collaborative, fast-moving team.


Description

Job Responsibilities



  • Leading the creation and execution of integrated marketing and communications plans that align with organizational goals and KPIs.
  • Create and manage a content calendar for cross-department collaboration.
  • Managing content strategy and creation for print, digital, and social platforms.
  • Overseeing the agency's website (WordPress) and continuously improving SEO and user experience, as well as ability to make minor updates to the website.
  • I think more specific will help create a clearer picture: Collaborating across departments and with external vendors to execute recruitment campaigns-supporting focus groups, managing paid digital advertising, and equipping Foster Care staff with tailored creative assets to drive foster parent engagement.
  • Utilizing AI platforms and modern tools to spark creativity, improve workflows, and enhance storytelling impact.
  • Measuring results and providing data-driven recommendations to evolve our strategies.
  • Staying on top of trends in marketing, communications, social media, and community engagement-and bringing new ideas to the table.



Job Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing and/or communications, ideally with experience managing multiple projects or campaigns simultaneously.
  • Proven success in planning, executing, and optimizing marketing strategies-especially digital.
  • Familiarity with WordPress, CRM platforms, SEO tools, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop), and email platforms like Constant Contact and Sprout Social.
  • Experience leveraging and/or willingness to learn AI tools for content ideation, workflow improvement, and data analysis.
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a keen eye for visual branding.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a hybrid environment, manage deadlines, and pivot quickly.

  • Willingness to occasionally work flexible hours based on project needs.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to travel within NYS as needed.
