Overview

This position is for a Senior Security Engineer with a concentration on data loss prevention. The right candidate will have the ability to serve in a technical lead role, provide technical project management/oversight, and provide hands-on support at an SME level within areas of focus. The role involves providing lead support and technical guidance as well as support DLP initiatives from the conceptual phase to operationalization, as well as support troubleshooting initiatives, root cause analysis, and solution maturation, will be key success factors.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team of cyber engineers supporting technologies within area of focus
  • Provide technical guidance to DLP solutions and projects * Evaluate technical solutions in response to business challenges
  • Provide thought leadership in support continuous improvements and service maturation
  • Present technical solutions as needed for knowledge sharing and acceptance
  • Provide project support and status reporting
  • Establish and maintain system documentation
  • Represent changes via CAB meetings
  • Collaborate with partnering teams in support of solution development and deployment

Qualifications

  • Strong team player, able to communicate and show leadership amongst teams of similarly knowledgeable specialists and Engineers
  • Experience guiding technical teams
  • Experience working with Incident, Problem, and Change Management
  • Minimum (5) years' experience in Security Engineering with a concentration on DLP
  • Minimum (5) years' experience with System design, administration and security
  • Proficient and professional verbal and written communication, including group training
  • Practical understanding of machine learning and automation * Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with other IT professionals and stakeholders

Desired Qualifications

  • Minimum (7) years' experience with DLP design, administration, and security
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with Proofpoint, Palo Alto, and MS Purview DLP
  • Advanced knowledge of SEIM/SOAR technologies
  • Knowledge of Navy Federal Credit Union instructions, standards, and procedures
  • Active CISSP Certification

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM - May require nights and/or weekends based on project needs. Some travel is required.
