Reporting to the Engineering and Maintenance Manager, this position is responsible for electrical maintenance and repair of machines and equipment in Jonesboro, AR manufacturing plant. Previous working experience in an industrial environment required. This opportunity is for 1st shift.

The Build (Responsibilities)

  • Performs electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical work activities required to produce Apex products.
  • Assemble, test, repair, replace equipment and parts as required.
  • Effectively document equipment issues and repairs.
  • Research parts, replacements, and new methods for repair of production equipment.
  • Recognize, set up and operate hand and power tools common to the electrical mechanic trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment.
  • Maintain equipment in good working condition and report all safety/maintenance concerns.
  • Moves materials within the work area.
  • Adheres to company policies and procedures to produce a quality product/service.
  • Reports unusual conditions or questionable items to supervisor.
  • Obeys all safety rules and regulations.
  • Keeps work area clean and orderly.
  • Maintains records as required.
  • Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

The Toolbox (Qualifications)

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Electrical and/or mechanical certification required.
  • Minimum of 2 years related work experience required.
  • Experience with 480v electrical equipment installation and repair.
  • Demonstrated mechanical and electrical ability.
  • Demonstrated ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair PLCs.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electrical equipment such as photo eyes, sensors, servo motors, AC/DC circuitry, etc.
  • Ability to continuously lift and move up to 50lbs.
  • Must have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
