Work Hours:

Monday - Friday

8:00am - 5:00pm

Additional hours as needed to fulfill the needs of the department.

Function:

Performs various duties in the Bank's Operations- Research Exceptions area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assumes direct responsibility for duties including one or more of the following:

  • Exceptions Processing:

    • Use of TRIPS and IBS Exceptions to process overdrafts and returns.

    • Use of FED Line Advantage to manually process ACH Returns.

    • Originate Notifications of Change through FRB.

    • Notification to customers or other departments (Loan Systems, Decedent Reporting, Business Banking) regarding ACH returns.

    • Use of EARNS/FRB to receive & originate high dollar returns.

    • Review and completes corrections based on the daily manipulation report.

    • Complete actions required based on CCD over $100,000 Report.

    • Reconcile general ledgers utilized within the Research Exceptions department.

    • Research & decision non-posted transactions using IBS Exceptions OnBase and IBS Insight.

    • Review transactions non-posted intended for decedent accounts and apply appropriate decision.

    • Complete activity required based on Checking Account Special Request forms or notifications from Deposit Collections or Retail Administration.

    • Collect on charged-off accounts

    • Report activity and collections to CPRS.

    • Investigates/responds to POA(Proof of Authorization) request

  • Verifies the following Safe Deposit Box documents are properly processed:

    • Outgoing Notices

    • Drill Notices

    • Validate payments posted to correct box

    • Resolve posting issues

    • Post mail payments

    • Perform safe box maintenance

      • Rate code changes

      • Caution code changes

      • Bill code changes

    • Maintain Safe Deposit Box Addendum's

    • Maintain Lease Agreements

    • Reviews new safe deposit box report

  • Assist in handling retail inquires for overdrafts and return items.

  • Maintain a good working relationship with bank employees. Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently, as well as motivated to work as a team player to contribute to the success of the department and in turn, the organization.

  • Compile data for monthly productivity reporting.

  • Perform additional duties as required.

  • Assist with training of new Non-Post/Returns staff members.

Education:

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent basic academic education, plus specialized training.

Experience:

One to two years of general experience. One to two years Bank operations experience and UCC knowledge.

Physical Demands:

Operates a keypad device, operates office equipment. Sitting is required 99% of the day. Utilizes manual dexterity skills for typing, filing, and data entry on a frequent basis, up to 75% of the business day. Possess the ability to focus visually at a close distance of 18"-20" for a period of up to 75% of the business day. Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 lbs, stand, walk, and reach with hand and/or arm throughout the business day.
