Job Summary

The HVAC Technician I supports the maintenance and operation of building systems by assisting senior technicians with a variety of mechanical, electrical, and utility-related tasks. Responsibilities include monitoring and maintaining HVAC systems, WFI (Water for Injection), purified water systems, and process equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards and operating procedures. This role also assists with troubleshooting and repairs, maintains a basic inventory of tools and spare parts, and supports process improvements by working closely with engineers to enhance system reliability and efficiency.


Essential Duties

  • Collaborates with other technicians to effectively maintain and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and lighting systems
  • Ensures timely and accurate completion of all required paperwork
  • Uses tools and equipment that are standard issue and do not need further calibration or adjustment. Keeps tools and work areas in a clean and orderly manner
  • Works on and completes all facility team-based goals
  • Observes and complies with all company safety policies. Uses required personal protective equipment while satisfying all work requests

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent
  • 0-2 yearsof HVAC experience
  • Methods and principles of general building maintenance
  • Demonstrates a professional demeanor, positive attitude, and strong work ethic
  • Good communication skills (oral and written)
  • Must be punctual and dependable
  • Must have basic computer skills
