About ESi Engineering Systems Inc. (ESi) is a multidisciplinary engineering and scientific investigation and failure analysis firm. We primarily work with law firms, insurance companies, and manufacturers on small to large-scale projects to answer any technical questions they have. No relocation assistance will be provided About This Role We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Marketing Specialist to take a lead role in developing a variety of client-facing technical documents and marketing materials, including website and social media content, proposals, presentations, pitch decks, and publications. These materials will effectively translate intricate engineering concepts into precise, clear, and easily understandable language suitable for a diverse audience that includes legal experts, insurance companies, and regulatory bodies. Proactive relationship management with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts across our different offices and disciplines is crucial. In addition, this individual will be instrumental in building and implementing robust processes and frameworks to efficiently gather information and ensure the accuracy and quality of all deliverables. This individual will collaborate with our Business Development and Marketing teams to develop and execute impactful marketing campaigns that raise awareness about our company and capabilities, align with our brand, and advance business goals. Key Responsibilities
- External Content Development: Create and prepare a range of client-facing technical deliverables, including proposals, presentations, and publications. Ensure that these materials effectively translate complex engineering concepts into clear, precise, and accessible language.
- Project Management: Oversee the end-to-end execution of communication and marketing deliverables, from initial concept through to content development, design, stakeholder review, and distribution.
- Relationship Management: Proactively build and manage relationships with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts across various geographies and disciplines to gather necessary information and ensure the accuracy of technical content.
- Marketing Campaigns: Execute strategic marketing campaigns to enhance awareness of our capabilities across all channels of distribution and position our firm as a leader in our industry.
- Quality Assurance and Process Improvement: Develop and implement robust processes and frameworks to ensure the accuracy and quality of all communications and marketing materials.
- Technical and Engineering Communication: Possess a strong understanding of technical and engineering concepts and the ability to articulate these concepts in compelling written formats for various target audiences.
Qualifications Education Required
- A bachelor's degree or higher in technical writing, communication, journalism, engineering, or a related field.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Exceptional writing and editing skills for digital and print formats, with the ability to present complex information clearly and accurately.
- Ability to adapt writing style for different formats and audiences, such as technical white papers, case studies, press releases, blog posts, email campaigns, and social media captions. Writing samples are required.
- Experience creating content calendars and aligning content with marketing campaigns and organizational goals.
- Proficient in following brand and editorial style guides (e.g., AP Style, Chicago Manual of Style, client-specific guidelines) to ensure consistency in tone, grammar, and formatting.
- Ability to develop creative concepts and storytelling approaches that align with brand voice objectives.
- Proficiency in managing content for websites, blogs, and social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, etc.).
- Skilled in translating technical or engineering concepts into clear, engaging language for a non-technical audience. Strong research skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy, credibility, and compliance in all written materials.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and cross-team collaborations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
- Adaptability and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to both give and receive constructive feedback during the revision process of key deliverables.
- Strong background in technical communication with an ability to work collaboratively with subject matter experts in engineering, technology, and business development.
Preferred Skills
- Previous experience working with a content management system (CMS)
- Basic graphic design skills, preferably in Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Understanding of SEO best practices.
- Familiarity with creating and editing short-form videos for social media and other channels.
