Planner - Production Control

Production Control position in support of various programs including Virginia, and Delivered Ship availability's. The successful candidate will be required to perform cross discipline Production Control functions which include, but are not limited to, Work Order management, software and hardware expediting in support of Work Order schedules, change processing, and work completion close-out. In order to perform these functions, the successful candidate will be required to interface with Operations, Engineering, Design, Material Systems, Configuration Management, Quality and other support organizations at various levels of management. Successful candidate will be expected to be aware of and in compliance with those attributes of Safety, Quality, Cost, Schedule and Process Improvement as they apply to their position. This position requires walking the shipyard daily and going aboard submarines.

This is an on-site position located in Groton, CT with work hours of 6am - 2:30 pm.

Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of work experience in a Trade, Shipyard, Military or Planning/Production Control role
• 2+ years of experience reading blueprints & schematics

Preferred:

• College degree
• Working knowledge of ARTEMIS, MRPII & ERS
• Technical schooling or job experience in one of the following disciplines: Electrical, Mechanical, Piping, Sheetmetal/HVAC, Shipwrights and Structural
• Prior shipyard or submarine experience

Skills:

• Good PC computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power Point
• Good organizational skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills along with good interpersonal skills
• Proficient blueprint readings skills
• Experience with technical manual interpretation
• The ability to walk and climb stairs and ladders
