As an Associate Business Development Executive, you will serve as a key partner to the Director, Business Development in managing complex global client relationships and driving top-line growth across PCI Pharma Services' portfolio. This position acts as another point of contact for assigned accounts, driving business opportunities, overseeing day-to-day client engagement, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery. In this position you will need to lead and help facilitate the development of key business materials such as RFI/RFP discussions, quoting & proposals, presentations, and QBRs while identifying growth opportunities within both existing global accounts and new accounts. This is a revenue-focused, client-facing role that demands a high degree of commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring domain knowledge in life sciences or CDMO services, advanced communication and presentation skills, and a demonstrated track record of contributing to client relationships. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Strategic Account Support: Serve as a liaison between Global Accounts, the Global Account Director and internal teams to ensure timely responses to issues and support effective account management for top-tier pharmaceutical and biotech clients.
- Revenue Generation: Lead or contribute to the identification, qualification, and closure of new revenue opportunities, including upselling and cross-selling within the global client base.
- Client Engagement & Advisory: Participate in quarterly business reviews, collaborating across functions to prepare content, drive internal engagement, and deliver a polished client-facing experience.
- Proposal & RFP Leadership: Independently manage incoming quote requests by gathering requirements, submitting estimate/design requests through Salesforce, partnering with internal engineering and estimating teams, and delivering accurate, client-ready proposals.
- Commercial Planning: Provide critical input on annual and quarterly sales planning, forecasting, and territory management. Maintain and track accurate opportunity pipelines in Salesforce.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with operations, project management, finance, legal, and other departments to ensure optimal service delivery, timeline adherence, and client satisfaction.
- Client Onboarding & Site Engagements: Lead PCI the planning and execution of site visits for clients including internal scheduling, content preparation, and on-site hosting to ensure a world-class client experience.
- Market Insight: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activity, and client developments to proactively identify opportunities for innovation and strategic alignment.
- Industry Representation: Represent PCI at trade shows, conferences, and site visits, contributing to brand visibility and lead generation.
- Legal Support: Proactively support contract processes including CDAs, MSAs, and other legal documentation, liaising between PCI and client legal teams.
- Account Management: Independent ownership of small/ mid-sized customers.

Required: KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS: * Minimum of 1-5 years in CDMO Project Management, Cost Estimation/Cost Modeling, Operations, or Engineering for Pharmaceutical Packaging/Manufacturing * Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple client needs simultaneously. * Executive presence and strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal. * Confidence to work independently, influence stakeholders, and handle challenging conversations. * Highly organized, detail-oriented, and motivated to exceed client expectations. * Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Smartsheets. * Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred). * Ability to travel >40% of the time and drive to client sites as required. * Ability to travel greater than 40% of the time. LANGUAGE SKILLS: .* Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts and value propositions concisely to diverse audiences. *Ability to build credibility and trust quickly with client stakeholders, internal teams, and senior leadership. *Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, or members of the business community. * Strong ability to communicate at any level, complex value propositions and pain points that PCI support, in a very short space of time over the telephone. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

For Illinois residents: The hiring rate for this position is $68,480-$77,040 plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including but not limited to specific and relevant experience, education, credentials, geography, and subject matter expertise.
