Description

Scope of the Job: Inventory Control Specialist


8:00am-4:30pm Monday-Friday


The Inventory Control Specialist will be an essential position in implementing procedures for the monitoring and execution of processes for inventory accuracy and replenishment activities for physical and logical warehouse locations. The position will assist management in the development, implementation and execution of a formal program for off-site replenishment activities to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained in all locations. This position will also be responsible for inventory accuracy and cycle counting processes and procedures.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Process, review, and analyze inventory reports and determine items for weekly and daily replenishment. Raw goods and fulfillment


Perform regular cycle counts, resolve discrepancy, maintain and report KPI related to inventory accuracy


Monitor and maintain count minimums, audit requirements


Analyze and report on metrics and recommend ways to improve the inventory control function.


Assist in the determination of inventory in excess that can be moved off site, or to deep storage to later be replenished.


Facilitate and organize physical inventories including Serial, non-serial, WIP


Assist in all areas of operations, development, logistics requirements, and operational support planning and execution.


Analyze existing business processes and logic that impact inventory throughout the company through personal observation and user interaction and document practices for continuous improvement activities.


Assist logistical areas during increased work demand.


Develop deep understanding of WMS/RDS features and functionality to facilitate analysis, the department, and IT to resolve issues.


Work safely as well as identify and report any safety hazards immediately.


Maintain good housekeeping in personal and all common areas.

Education and Experience:


Education: High School Diploma/GED


Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word.)


Preferred: Experience with SAP


Competencies and Skills:


Order inventory control experience.


Strong problem-solving ability


Excellent written and oral communication skills.


Attention to detail.


Excellent team player, positive approach, and desire for process improvements.


Physical Demands:


Works in an office environment.


Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.


Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Work Environment and Personal Protective Equipment:


Within any of our facilities, employees may be exposed to manufacturing noise, airborne liquid chemicals, fine particulate dust, ambient temperatures, and industrial lighting. Work environment is similar to most manufacturing and distribution operations. May be exposed to excessive noise, temperatures, hazards associated with working around moving machinery, work in confined quarters, exposure to vibrations and shop lighting, continuous exposure to hot temperatures, may be humid, odors, dust, continuous exposure to mechanical hazards, and occasional exposure to chemical hazards.


The following Personal Protective Equipment is required:


Safety glasses with side shields and hearing protection required when on manufacturing floor


The use of additional personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required when a job task(s) is being completed in or around your assigned department or in another department, this includes safety eyewear, hearing protection, and safety footwear.
