Position Title: Mechanical Engineer

Reporting to: President of Engineering

Department: Engineering

JOB SUMMARY

The Mechanical Engineer will innovate and create products that support the growth of the Company and Engineering Department.

RESPONSIBILITIES




  • Focus on Engineering design and Production





  • Hands-on use of software for product design





  • Support production in fabrication and machining, estimating & procurement





  • Participation in product compliance (UL, ETL, etc.) activities





  • Lead and manage regulatory testing programs to comply with UL/IEC standards





  • Participates in design documentation reviews to ensure that the released designs comply with regulatory standards





  • Develop projects from conceptual design to full manufacturing capability





  • Promote and Develop Engine sales to other Manufacturers





  • Develop ideas for new products to manufacture





  • Acts as project manager for individual and larger project efforts

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS




  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering





  • 2+ years of hands on testing experience with power products





  • 3+yearsAutoCAD drafting experience





  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude





  • Solid understanding of basic generator and electrical distribution principles





  • Strong attention to details and diligent follow-through





  • Ability to understand, embrace, and implement new technologies as they evolve





  • Strong organizational and time management skills





  • General sense of resiliency with a positive attitude





  • Ability to work well with others from a variety of backgrounds





  • Willing to put forth the honest effort in order to be successful





  • Possess good, safe work habits in all environments





  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills





  • Be able to give regular and predictable full-time attendance
