At the Central Plateau Cleanup Company (CPCCo), located in Richland, Washington, we are working to provide a sustainable future for the historic Hanford area through the protection of the Columbia River and the remediation of the Central Plateau. A day in the life of a Project Radiation Protection Manager includes, but is not limited to:
* Implement the requirements associated with Integrated Safety Management System/Environmental Management System (ISMS/EMS). * Provide training to qualified staff (Radiological Control Techs, Health Physicists, and First Line Managers) to conduct project work scope. * Coordinate with operations and maintenance management concerning project performance goals and operational priorities. * Communicate expectations to staff that support attainment of project and Environmental, Safety, Health & Quality (ESH&Q) goals and objectives. * Continuously seek efficiencies and opportunities to reduce cost. * Foster compliance with requirements by routinely monitoring work to ensure activities are conducted in accordance with policies and procedures. * Continually evaluate the project's performance and make needed corrections and improvements; be proactive, timely, and compliant in dealing with personnel matters. * Ensure staff meet DOE and CPCCo training requirements. * Support routine facility drills. * Support the annual development of a project budget necessary for implementation of an effective Radiation Protection Program. * Work cooperatively with the Hanford Atomic Metal Trades Council Safety Representatives and project workforce to understand and resolve safety concerns. * Ensure grievances are addressed promptly. * Performs work in a safe, compliant, and cost-effective manner.
Basic Qualifications
Manager Grade 21 - Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience plus 10 years of relevant experience and at least 4 years of required relevant experience must be nuclear experience. Manager Grade 22 - Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience plus 12 years of relevant experience and at least 4 years of required relevant experience must be nuclear experience.
The higher posted level has greater scope, complexity, authority, impact. The level offered to the selected candidate will be based on the needs of the company and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience.
Desired Qualifications
* Degree in science, health physics or engineering. * 3 years DOE radiological experience. * 3 years of supervisory/management experience. * American Board of Health Physicists or National Registry of Radiation Protection Technologists certification.
Compensation & Benefits
In accordance with the CPCCo salary determination process, CPCCo takes into consideration the level of assigned job duties and responsibilities, and the candidate's education, training, and/or experience relative to internal peers and the external labor market. CPCCo will not solicit salary history for candidates.
Expected annualized pay range based on full time schedule (40 hours per week):
Grade 21: $123,500 - $197,650 Grade 22: $134,200 - $234,850
In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for variable pay awards.
