DIR OF HOUSEKEEPING

Job Summary

Responsible for planning, organizing, and developing the overall operation of the fitness center, housekeeping and laundry departments in accordance hotel guidelines while assuring the highest degree of quality guest care is maintained at all times. Responsible for staffing, scheduling, training, developing housekeeping managers and staff.

Job Duties andResponsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of two years experience as Director or Assistant Director of Housekeeping in facility of same size or larger required.
• Must have thorough knowledge of hotel housekeeping and laundry department operations and equipment.
• Must have excellent knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Experience and ability to train and motivate employees at all levels.
• Exceptional oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to use independent judgment, multi-task, work well with a multi-cultural staff and maintain excellent employee and guest relations.
• Experience with developing budgets and forecasting for expenses and staffing.
• Must be available to work weekends & all shifts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in hospitality or related field
• Knowledge of Forbes Standards
