We are seeking a Sourcing Category Manager - Advisor with deep expertise in software, SaaS, and AI-related procurement as well as data-driven decision-making through Tableau or Power BI analytics. In this highly visible role, you will shape category strategy, negotiate high-impact agreements, and leverage supplier innovation to support Jack Henry's digital transformation. You will partner closely with IT, finance, legal, and business stakeholders to ensure the right solutions are sourced, optimized, and aligned with our strategic goals. This role offers the opportunity to combine strategic sourcing leadership with data analytics to drive measurable value, influence executive decisions, and optimize supplier performance.

This position is hybrid and will require you to come into the office as requested for team meetings and collaboration sessions. The position will be filled to work out of one of the following Jack Henry office locations: Springfield, MO / Monett, MO / Allen, TX or Lenexa, KS. We have corporate flight shuttles you can take to travel conveniently between the office locations.

This position will have a salary range of $105,060 - 145,000 based on experience and location.

What you'll be responsible for:

  • Work with key business partners and senior leadership to gain a solid understanding of strategic direction and supply requirements, corporate business objectives and priorities to develop category specific supply strategies. Provide market and industry intelligence to help inform and shape strategy.
  • Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base opportunities to reduce cost, minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and exploit industry developments that benefit JHA.
  • Manage contracts and suppliers within the targeted categories through supplier scorecards, periodic business reviews; active monitoring of supplier performance and risk, measuring contract compliance and other key metrics to ensure targets are being met and value is being delivered to the business under the supply agreements.
  • Lead sourcing engagements and cross-functional teams in opportunity identification and RFXs where appropriate.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to leverage and consolidate the supply base using system level tools and techniques.
  • Negotiate and implement supplier agreements/contracts that meet the business needs of cross-functional stakeholders and achieve sustainable relationships with suppliers.
  • Evaluate supplier core competencies and competitive positioning using industry cost models.
  • Pro-actively enable and ensure transparency of spend and drive for an optimization of efficiency (procedures and cost) in collaboration with Finance function and related stakeholders
  • Lead supplier selection processes in alignment with business partners and negotiate contracts up to final authorization
  • Work with legal team to lead and oversee complex contract negotiations.
  • Assist the financial planning and budgeting process and monitor adherence to the budget.
  • Ensure internal customers adhere to the delegation of authority and procurement processes.
  • Performs additional tasks and special projects as determined by department management.
  • May assist less experienced peers.
  • May Perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll need to have:

  • Must have a minimum of 10 years of combination experience in any of the following: strategic sourcing, category management (software, hardware, telecom and professional services), vendor management, procurement in a service or fintech industry (indirect purchasing).
  • Required to have intermediate experience utilizing any of the following: Power BI, Tableau, Looker.
  • Must have intermediate level of experience utilizing Excel ( pivot tables, macros, formulas).
  • Must have advanced level of experience in red lining agreements.
  • Proficient level of experience in pricing negotiation with suppliers.
  • Must have the ability to handle multi million dollar deals with complex structures.
  • Timeline driven and self-prioritize and recognize when escalation is needed.
  • Must be able to travel up to 5% to attend Jack Henry meetings, trainings, and/or professional conferences.
  • Must be able to work extended hours during major negotiations or RFx cycles.
  • Must have strong business acumen skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have strong data analysis experience in presenting to leadership.
  • Must be process oriented.

What would be nice for you to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering or supply chain.
  • Experience with digital sourcing platforms (e.g., Coupa, Ariba, Jaggaer, GEP).
  • Experience utilizing contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems.
  • Managing e-sourcing tools.
  • Experience utilizing AI, automation, or predictive analytics in procurement.
  • Track record of driving supplier diversity and sustainability initiatives.
