The Role: IT Technician
You are the first point of contact for IT support at Venus Aerospace. You are responsible for maintaining the integrity of all computer workstations and associated software. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills to interact with colleagues and provide training on system usage, as well as meticulous documentation abilities to maintain clear and accurate records of IT processes, procedures, and issues.
What You'll Get To Do:
    • Provide first-line IT support to Venus employees.
    • Troubleshoot problems with computers, printers, and mobile devices.
    • Assist with software installation, updates, and configuration.
    • Set up, configure, and upgrade desktops, laptops, and other IT equipment.
    • Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning and repairs.
    • Support local area networks (LAN), wireless networks, and internet connections.
    • Troubleshoot connectivity problems (Wi-Fi, VPN, routers, switches).
    • Keep accurate records of support requests, equipment inventory, and system changes.
    • Assist with onboarding new staff by setting up accounts and devices.
    • Collaborate with system administrators and developers when needed.
What You Have:
    • Experience as an IT Technician or relevant position.
    • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
    • Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.
    • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
    • In-depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks.
    • Knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles.
    • Ability to create and manage technical documentation.
What Will Set You Apart:
    • Associates degree, equivalent experience, and/or certifications such as CompTIA A+/Net+.
    • 2+ years of experience in computer networks and systems.
    • Apple MacOS/iPadOS MDM experience.
    • Google Workspace experience.
    • Microsoft Office 365/Endpoint Management.
    • Experience with virtual systems such as VMWare (Omnissa) Horizon.
    • Work in Active Directory including user, computer, group management.
    • Linux Experience.
    • Experience managing or using ITSM and/or task management systems like Atlassian.

This position involves access to technology that is subject to U.S. export controls.
