This role offers a flexible schedule, NO weekends and plays a huge role in your local community and state wide!

This position will prepare meals to serve or package for various populations from youth to adult. In larger kitchens, this position will support other cooks and kitchen staff in these duties. This work may be done independently with the guidance of an Assistant Director of Production.

• A minimum of one year of equivalent experience in a full-service kitchen in a health care facility, school or restaurant.
• Knowledge of quantity cooking: the ability to follow standardized recipes and convert measurements to accommodate the number of meals needed.
• Knowledge of all kitchen equipment and utensils usage.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions, train, supervise, and direct site staff and volunteers.
• Represent LSS in a professional manner through adhering to dress code and personal hygiene practices.
• Represent LSS as the provider of this service, engaging with diners to promote a welcoming and inviting atmosphere
• Valid driver's license preferred

The successful candidate must be cleared by a Bureau of Criminal Affairs (BCA) background study and have a drivers' license; a Motor Vehicle Check (MVR) is required.
