Overview:

Hours: Mon- Fri 8am-4:30pm. All onsite

Job Description Summary:

Coordinators referrals to meet the request and needs of individual patients and care providers, serves as the initial customer service and problem-solving resource, and performs support functions to facilitate billing, payroll, documentation collection and case management activities.

Job Description:

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinates and schedules homecare staff to ensure adequate coverage for clients.
  • Communicates with clients and their families to assess their needs and match them with appropriate staff.
  • Maintains accurate records of staff schedules, client information, and staff certifications.
  • Provides orientation and training to new staff members.
  • Assists with verifying payer information, obtaining authorizations, tracking authorizations, activities and end dates. Ensures that patients activity is added to the electronic medical record in preparation for billing.
  • Serves as a customer service and problem-solving resource for nurses, families, and referring parties.
  • Provides administrative support for meetings, ordering and supply and supply management as well as support on various departmental projects.

Detail oriented and strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Experience:

  • Home health, office or business administration, or other medical-related experience, required.
  • One year of experience in health care related field, quality assurance or utilization review, preferred.
