Job Summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an Asset Management Intern in our Boston office for the summer of 2026. The intern will support the Asset Management team by handling a wide range of responsibilities related to property operating budgets, capital planning, and portfolio data management. The role requires strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

Property Budgeting and Planning



  • Work with third-party property managers to review and input operating budgets and five-year capital plans.
  • Assist in analyzing budget assumptions and variances across Cabot's investment vehicles.


Portfolio Data Management



  • Prepare and enter lease abstracts into Cabot's accounting database.
  • Update Cabot's lease and sales transaction database maintained in Excel.


Team Support and Special Projects



  • Assist in ad hoc projects for the Asset Management team as needed.
  • Provide administrative and analytical support to ensure accuracy and timeliness of information.


Qualifications & Experience



  • Proven record of academic performance.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and solve problems in a collaborative environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook; Access a plus).
  • Basic finance, accounting, or business knowledge preferred.


Work Environment & Travel



  • Hybrid work model based primarily in a professional office environment.
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position (e.g., seated at a desk) for extended periods.
  • Must be able to operate a computer and communicate effectively in person and via digital platforms.
