Always with integrity.......Authentixians value: Dedicating ourselves to our customer's success Compete and win with integrity Create innovative solutions with science and technology Team and collaboration with accountability JOB SUMMARY The position of International Logistics Associate is responsible for both the transportation and logistics functions including international shipments to/from dozens of global locations and domestic locations. This position works cross functionally to ensure operational excellence in achieving our performance goals (KPIs). Responsibilities include shipping, customs clearance, shipping documents and all record keeping for a variety of air freight, sea freight (FCL and LCL) and ground parcel/LTL transportation transactions in support of company business requirements. This role will manage 3PL and freight forwarders on international/domestic shipments to achieve on time delivery in support of company delivery contracts and schedules and will ensure the third-party logistics providers adhere to import-export and dangerous goods policies and laws. The International Logistics Associate must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic, bring a positive and outgoing personality to the role, and be a reliable and collaborative team member. SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Negotiate Logistics Service Pricing Agreements for all transportation modes. Ensure accurate shipment preparation including labeling, packing, and documentation for domestic and international shipments. Ensure all Hazmat shipping requirements are met for IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations and IMDG Ocean. Establish freight forwarder and carrier performance standards & audit delivery performances for all providers and have forwarder/carrier performance. Provide direction in all phases of international logistics and prepare and maintain all records/documents. Responsible for all shipping related activities and tasks Communicate with freight vendors; follow up on shipments, and coordinate transport issues with carriers/suppliers and internal customers around the world Generate FedEx/DHL/ AWB Shipments. Remove obstacles that could potentially cause delay of shipments Responsible for completing all daily shipments and verifying that all orders have been processed and picked up by transportation carriers. Verify product was delivered and provide effective communication pre-alert to each customer. Working shipments from Beginning to end. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Supply Chain, Logistics recommended. 3+ years of international logistics experience, hazardous or dangerous goods knowledge required, or related field with an International freight forwarder or within a chemical, or technology industry a plus. Experience in negotiating transportation and 3PL services Experience with SAP ByDesign or related ERP system a plus. Excellent skills in oral and written communication. Excellent knowledge of IATA, DOT UN-Packaging for shipping and storing requirements and import requirements. Understanding of GHS, HTS and NMFC codes. Detailed knowledge of INCOTERMS 2020 Ability to develop and maintain shipping/receiving metrics (i.e. supplies, transit time, shipper performance, etc.) Interpersonal skills required for working efficiently and effectively with peers, suppliers, client logistics departments and others Demonstrated sense of urgency as it relates to the transport of "hot" shipments and provide appropriate communication internally to stakeholders and externally with freight suppliers, with a sense of urgency providing On Time Delivery. Knowledge or Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) Fluent in Spanish is a plus Monitor supply of shipping materials. Participates as required in training on regulatory issues affecting own area of work Brings regulatory compliance questions/ issues to the attention of management Maintain required shipping supplies.
