Department: FSQA
Reports To: Senior FSQA Manager
Salary Grade: $51,333 to $77,000 annually, plus bonus opportunity

As a Food Safety & Quality Assurance (FSQA) Import Specialist, you will provide support for Savor Brands, Dot's commodity import business. You will work with vendors and supply chain partners to ensure products are safe and of the finest quality and that vendors are in compliance with all food safety regulations, foreign and domestic.

WHAT YOU'LL DO



  • Collaborate with Savor Brands buyers to establish and maintain product and packaging specifications
  • Ensure all Savor Brands suppliers meet all specifications by conducting tests of product.
  • Provide Customer Support, responding to customer requests
  • Support as needed Savor Brands compliance to FDA Foreign Supplier Verification Program and other applicable FDA or USDA regulations
  • Act as an additional FSQA point of contact for all supplier and customer inquiries, including resolving all relevant customer complaints
  • Monitor processes and analyze data to enable continuous improvement and minimize food safety risk
  • Apply lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position


YOU MUST HAVE



  • Bachelor's degree
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment


YOU MAY ALSO HAVE



  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence persons at all organizational levels
  • Proven ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines


ROLE SPECIFICS



  • Travel-Occasional overnight travel for trade shows and meetings. Must be able to travel independently as needed, without restriction by all modes of transportation, including car, plane, or train.
  • Schedule- Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
