Maersk Training Houston is seeking experienced Crane Operations Instructors to deliver offshore and onshore lifting operation courses. Are you an expert instructor looking for flexible opportunities with the potential for long-term collaboration?

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Crane Operator and Lifting Operations courses according to training plan and course materials.

  • Ensure all training complies with relevant standards (API RP 2D, OSHA, OPITO, company-specific).

  • Familiarity with industry and accreditation requirements for crane and lifting instructors.

  • Maintain a professional approach in all teaching activities and client interactions.

  • Suggest improvements to training programs and methods.

  • Ensure all activities are performed safely and in compliance with HSE requirements.

We are looking for

  • Minimum 8-10 years of proven experience as a Crane Operator (offshore lifting operations).

  • Demonstrated competence in offshore pedestal cranes and lifting operations.

  • Approved Instructor/Assessor in Crane Operations (or eligible for approval under OPITO/industry standards).

  • Familiarity with API RP 2D, OSHA, OPITO standards.

  • Experience with crane simulators and practical assessment.

  • Strong communication and instructional skills.

  • Fluent in English (Spanish/Portuguese an advantage).

  • Availability to travel domestically/internationally.

  • Consultancy engagement with possibility of future employment.
