About Us

Overview

We're looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Home Office team. In this role, you will handle full-cycle accounts payable in a fast-paced, high-volume, multiple-entity environment. You'll process and record payments accurately and on time, reconcile transactions, and work closely with community and home office associates as well as vendors. This position plays a key role in keeping our financial operations running smoothly while building strong relationships across the organization.


Responsibilities

  • Develop a clear understanding of Accounts Payable processes, the day-to-day operations, and home office and community business needs.
  • Conduct multiple tasks in a fast pace, high volume environment and prioritize deadlines with the Accounting and Accounts Payable teams.
  • Enter, analyze, examine, and review invoices and data for discrepancies and anomalies, correct errors and reconcile data to ensure high degree of accuracy over the various stages of invoice processing.
  • Process associate expense reimbursements and corporate credit card transactions.
  • Process or record payments to vendors, associates and/or investors accurately and mail payments in a timely fashion. Ensure all payments are supported by documentation and have appropriate approval.
  • Serve as secondary escalation point for Accounts Payable inquiries from vendors, communities, or home office.
  • Work cross-functionally with home office departments, communities and vendors to research and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies.
  • Develop relationships with the Accounting team and assist with Accounts Payable general ledger reconciliations and inquiries.
  • Demonstrate the ability to develop, collaborate and maintain meaningful business partner relationships with Community and Home Office Associates, team members, vendors, etc.
  • Update Manager and team, as necessary, of pending issues and concerns relating to the communities and vendors served.
  • Research and resolve entry errors.
  • Perform special projects as needed.
  • When necessary, assist with annual audits and/or due diligence requests and needs.

Salary Range

USD $60,000.00 - USD $65,000.00 /Yr.

Compensation Disclosure

The salary range mentioned above reflects the potential pay for this role and does not include bonuses or additional incentives (if applicable), nor does it include the value of our benefit program. Offers will consider factors like experience, qualifications, location, community size (if relevant), certifications/training, etc. Brightview regularly reviews and adjusts compensation ranges.


Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of accounts payable experience.
  • Degree preferred.
  • Above average competence in Microsoft Excel (v-lookups, etc.) is important to this role.
  • Technical competence in MS Word, Outlook, and Accounts Payable applications.
  • Concur experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and demonstrate team player behavior.
