The Salvation Army Midland Division is seeking a dedicated Disaster Recovery Services Case Manager Supervisor to lead a vital project providing hope and recovery to individuals and families impacted by disaster. This position plays a key role in restoring stability for survivors by coordinating and delivering temporary assistance, long-term follow-up, and comprehensive case management services. In this leadership role, you will oversee a team of case managers, ensuring compassionate and effective support for survivors through rapid response outreach, ongoing follow-up, and referrals to both disaster-related and community resources. You will work directly with survivors to help them navigate barriers, access emerging resources, and rebuild their lives to pre-disaster levels of functioning. This is a full-time position (40 hours/week) with a starting salary of $54,000 per year. The role is grant-funded and currently scheduled from October 1, 2025, through October 1, 2027, with the potential for extension based on available funding. The Salvation Army Midland Divisional Headquarters is located at 1130 Hampton Ave, St. Louis, MO. Essential Functions Deliver and supervise disaster recovery services to persons presenting at agency center(s) or to persons temporarily residing in community settings including motels, shared homes, and other housing situations.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in human services field and two years related work experience with some supervisory experience. Combination of training and experience will be considered. Must have good communication skills and an ability to work with diverse cultures. Strong leadership style and good organizational skills required. Commitment to carry out The Salvation Army mission is essential. Knowledge of The Salvation Army and Government, State and community resources is helpful. Requires reliable transportation, a valid Driver's License and pass The Salvation Army Motor Vehicle Report screening. Must demonstrate ability to think independently and exercise sound judgment. Must be a team player, a self-starter, able to handle several projects at the same time and perform well with minimum supervision. Physical and Working Conditions Must be capable of performing the above essential duties in an office environment to include using a computer, answering phones, etc. Occasionally lifts 20 pounds and sometimes up to 40 pounds. Will occasionally move 50 or more pounds using dolly/cart/truck. Most work will be indoors in a temperature control environment. However, occasional outdoor travel is required in the summer and winter. |
