Technical Specialist-AWS, Information Technology

As a Technical Specialist in our Technology Solutions department, you will take a lead role in the design, development, and support solutions critical to all aspects of our business. In addition to assisting with the development of on premises applications, you will be a key resource in NISA's cloud migration. As a senior member of the team, you will lead design and code reviews, and will mentor other team members in AWS development practices.

You will partner with members of NISA's business departments to understand requirements, and design and refine solutions.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a field requiring strong analytical and quantitative skills, such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or Information Systems
• Minimum of 7 years of experience developing and supporting enterprise-grade solutions
• 3 to 5 years of experience designing and developing cloud native solutions in AWS
• Extensive experience developing with object-oriented languages, such as C# or Java
• Extensive experience creating lambdas using Python or Node.js
• Extensive experience using Terraform or another Infrastructure-as-Code tool
• Experience querying in SQL Server, Postgres, or other relational database platforms
• Experience with automated testing frameworks

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript, and front-end frameworks
• Experience designing data models in SQL Server or another relational database platform
• Previous professional experience in financial services sector
• Experience with automation and CICD practices and tooling, such as GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines, Ansible, Terraform, or Pulumi
• Experience working with modern data platforms, such as Databricks
