Responsibilities
Responsible for the direct referral development activities toward fulfillment of the hospital's strategic goals and objectives. Instrumental in growing census and net revenues through strategic targeting of marketing efforts, analysis of market and data/research and referral development. Responsible for monitoring, analysis, and reporting of business development activities and results. 1. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with others. 2. Comprehensive computer skills. 3. Sound knowledge of business development concepts and basic knowledge of medical terminology. 4. Ability to develop hospital marketing goals and objectives based on historical data and current market trends. 5. Possess the skills to manage referral personnel in meeting the hospital's business development goals and objectives. 6. Strong skills in organization and prioritization of workloads to meet deadlines. 7. Maintain knowledge of external competitor organizations and review payor sources (i.e. managed care, Medicare, and Medicaid). 8. Knowledge of annual report preparation and budgeting concepts. Qualifications 1.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with others. 2. Need a strong understanding of the hospitals programs, process and procedures. 3. Strong computer skills, to include common workplace and corporate specific applications use. 4. Ability to strategically plan for changing census focus and future budget requirements 5. Effectively manage/direct a team of CL who spend the majority of their time outside the hospital. 6. Must be able to travel outside the hospital a portion of their time. 7. Ability to problems solve for solutions to both internal and external hospital challenges. 8. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the hospital. 9. Bachelors Required, Masters Preffered.
