Position: Part-time; 15-20 hours/week

JOB SUMMARY:

Under direct supervision, this position assists and supports the Contracts department with maintaining the accuracy, consistency, control, and safeguard of files generated in support of awarded contracts or corporate requirements. Assists staff in the review of contracts(s), contract change orders, cost impact proposals, modifications, audits, and development of policies and procedures. Ensures compliance with said policies and procedures. Reports to the Director, Contracts Management.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work independently and may receive guidance from upper-level management as required.
  • Attends meetings, as required, related to award of new contracts, change orders, modifications, new business processes, etc.
  • Provides support to file, maintain and review documents, as requested.
  • Assists staff in the audit of government and commercial contracts to facilitate development and coordination of file structure (hard copy/soft copy).
  • Assists in the development of policies and procedures, forms, as required.
  • Maintains Contract respective values and funding in the Cost Point System.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma and 3-4 years of experience or a Bachelor's Degree and 0-2 years of experience.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate both orally and in writing and interface with all levels of internal and external customers.
  • Must be able to work independently and demonstrate problem-solving ability handles internal and external deadlines.
  • Requires working knowledge of common office equipment and software including MS Office products and the ability to adapt to and efficiently work with other hardware/software products.
  • Experience in Federal Contracts or Finance fields preferred. Able to comprehend Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) as well as applicable federal, state, and local laws, and the Service Contract Act (SCA).

Physical Requirements and Work Conditions

  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment or remote.
  • Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
  • Good eye/hand coordination required.
