Sr. Physician Assistant ADT Urology PARN Urology Faculty Practice Full Time 86110BR Job Summary The Urology Faculty Practice is a high-volume specialty clinic that focuses on a variety of urological diagnoses. The Urology Clinic treats adults with a wide range urinary tract conditions. These include common problems such as kidney and bladderstones, urinary tract infections, and urinary incontinence, and less common ones, such as obstructions of the urinary tract and painful bladder syndromes. In men, we provide treatment for benign conditions of the prostate gland, erectile dysfunction, and male infertility. In women, we provide treatments for bladder and pelvic health. Our team is also nationally known for expertrepair of traumatic injuries to the genitals and urinary tract. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $92.35 - $124.28 (Hourly Rate). To learn more about the benefits of working at UCSF, including total compensation, please visit: https://ucnet.universityofcalifornia.edu/compensation-and-benefits/index.html Required Qualifications Physician Assistant Minimum of one (1) year of recent experience working as a Physician Assistant in an adult medical surgical setting or related experience Must be able to document competent performance of the skills required to perform in the role described Excellent verbal and written communication, professional attitude, and interpersonal skills and can effectively interact with a diverse professional and patient population Ability to satisfactorily perform job duties as defined in the job duties/functions Demonstrated excellence in the following areas: clinical practice, communication, clinical case management, leadership/problem identification/resolution, and teaching This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Health locations and in varying schedules as outlined Sr. Physician Assistant Minimum of Five (5) or more years of recent experience as a Physician Assistant in an adult medical surgical or ambulatory setting Must be able to document competent performance of the skills required to perform in the role described. Excellent verbal and written communication, professional, computer and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with a diverse professional and patient population. Ability to satisfactorily perform job duties as defined in the job duties/ functions. Preferred Qualifications Two (2) or more years of related surgical experience Two (2) or more years of Urology experience preferred Experience performing simple procedures independently Experience working in an Academic Medical Center License/Certification Active and current California Physician Assistant License (PA). California driver's license (CDL) if required for position. Current national board certification (NCCPA) by first day of work and maintain. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Registration with Schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5 registered to a California address. Complete an AAPA recognized graduate master's degree program as a physician assistant. Submit enrollment with CMS Medicare and Medicaid through the credentialing process by first clinical day. Current AHA BLS. Current AHA ACLS. UCSF Medical Center and Campus requires certain healthcare providers to be credentialed. In most cases this is done through its Office of Medical Affairs & Governance (OMAG) prior to the first working day. Credentialing and approval of the Standardized Procedures takes between 60-90 days but can vary.
