Position Title: MIG / TIG Welder
Wage: $20.00 - $30.00/hour Shift: 2nd Hours: 2:30pm - 1:00am (Monday - Thursday) Every day you will work with close tolerances on carbon steel and stainless steel parts executing high-quality welding tasks, primarily focusing on MIG welding techniques. This role at our client in Libertyville, IL is performed with limited supervision and involves interpreting blueprints and fabricating metal components with precision. MIG / TIG Welder Responsibilities: - Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine welding requirements - Utilize MIG welding techniques to fabricate and weld metal components - Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively for metal preparation and finishing, including saws, lathes, plasma cutter, drill press, grinders, etc. - Perform quality checks on welded materials to ensure compliance with specifications and code - Collaborate with team members on projects and adhere to safety protocols - Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored Requirements for MIG / TIG Welder: - At least three years of welding experience; at least one year of MIG welding experience preferred - At least three years of experience reading blueprints preferred - Welding certification QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
