Overview

Develop skills to repair electronic components that incorporate satellite, cellular, and emerging radio technologies.

Milton CAT is seeking to hire a test and repair technician to fill a role within the SITECH Northeast group, prepping product for sale and completing repairs for customers. The position is located at our facility in North Syracuse NY. SITECH Northeast is the Trimble Heavy Civil Construction dealer, representing machine control systems and site survey products that utilize GPS and robotic positioning technologies. The territory encompasses Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Upstate New York in the Northeastern United States.

Pay Range: starting at $25.00-$30.00 per hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for testing and operating construction grade computers and positioning equipment such as GPS receivers.
  • Prepare product to be used in the field by customers and fellow team members.
  • Diagnose equipment using Trimble tooling.
  • Provide clear and accurate failure details to SITECH service manager.
  • Document, record and follow procedures to verify correct and proper system operation.
  • Adhere to all applicable safety policies and comply with all company policies, procedures and standards.
  • Maintains open communication with manager and team members.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
  • Travel to complete training on Trimble Products will be provided.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or (GED) equivalent.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • No experience with our Trimble products needed.
  • Ability to change priorities and remain productive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Perform duties with a sense of urgency, exceeding customer expectations.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficient in the use of a computer and related Microsoft software.
  • Ability to read technical manuals and prepare reports.
  • Flexible to work after hours when needed to meet customer needs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Attend training meetings and workshops, which may require overnight stays
  • Applicants with Computer repair, Tele communications or HVAC experience will also be considered.
