Position Summary Directs and oversees Non-Sterile Manufacturing Assembly, Shipping, and Planning/Procurement operations, providing strategic leadership to ensure alignment with current and future customer demand. Builds and develops a high-performing, agile team capable of supporting the evolving needs of the business and driving sustained operational excellence. What You'll do as a Director of Manufacturing & Supply Chain Collaborate with the Senior Director of Operations to develop comprehensive departmental operating budgets and capacity planning models that support long-term growth and efficiency. Monitors key operational metrics across production, shipping, and inventory to ensure alignment with financial targets, safety standards, quality benchmarks, and on-time delivery goals. Strategically deploys management resources to optimize support for assembly production teams and cross functional departments, ensuring seamless execution of operational priorities. Champions succession planning initiatives by identifying high-potential talent and providing targeted developmental opportunities to foster professional growth and leadership readiness. Drives operational excellence by coordinating and resourcing initiatives that support the Strategic Deployment Plan (True North), ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Aligns departmental capabilities to effectively support new product introductions and product line expansions, enabling successful market launches and scalability. Leads layout design and optimization efforts, leveraging experience in facility expansion and workflow efficiency to enhance operational throughput and flexibility. Promotes a lean culture by fostering a work environment focused on waste elimination, Customer satisfaction, market competitiveness through Lean Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement methodologies. Collaborate with peers to define and implement meaningful KPIs, ensuring performance indicators are aligned with annual operational plans and continuous improvement objectives. Provides strategic leadership in talent management and organizational development, overseeing staffing, promotions, and performance accountability while actively contributing to the creation of policies, standard procedures, and long-range strategic planning initiatives. The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed Required: Bachelor's Degree Minimum 10 years' experience in shipping & Logistics Experience in an FDA Regulated Environment Leadership Experience in High-volume FDA Regulated Manufacturing Environment Experience Leading Planning & Procurement Teams Prior Experience Managing Large Cross-functional Project Teams in Complex Manufacturing Environments Prior Experience with ERP systems (SAP or Oracle are a plus) Prior Experience with Barcoding Systems Preferred: Graduate degree highly desirable Medical Device Experience Lean Six Sigma Background Expertise with barcoding program implementation Other: Strong Analytical and Process Focus Skills Progressive Team-Oriented Leader Excellent Verbal/Communications Skills Ability to Motivate Team Efforts to Accomplish Goals Experience with warehouse storage optimization and /or expansions What STERIS Offers We value our employees and are committed to providing a comprehensive benefits package that supports your health, well-being, and financial future. This position is eligible forbonus participation. Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.
