Our Field Service Organization (FSO) is dedicated to supporting the implementation and maintenance of highly technical communication systems at customer sites. The FSO team collaborates closely with System Managers, Engineering, Sales, Project Managers, System Technologists, and Service Partners to successfully complete assigned tasks.   • Install, optimize, maintain, and manage highly technical, mission-critical communication systems post-sale.

  • Proactively monitor and address system alarms/errors to ensure optimal performance of integrated systems.

  • Execute hardware and software installation and optimization, including advanced troubleshooting.

  • Maintain system availability through routine maintenance and performance monitoring.

  • Conduct preventative maintenance, focusing on trend analysis and meticulous documentation.

  • Develop solutions for complex technical challenges during system implementation, upgrades, and support.

  • Collaborate with System Managers, Engineering, Project Management, Sales Personnel, System Technologists, and Public Safety Partners to design, implement, optimize, and deploy advanced communication systems that meet or exceed customer expectations.

  • Provide swift problem resolution during high-pressure situations, utilizing specialized equipment for testing and optimization of Motorola Two-Way Radios (e.g., Communications Systems Analyzers, watt meters, TIMS sets, CPS, RSS, Antenna Systems Analyzers (FDRs), ethernet testers).

Desired Candidate Experience:

  • Expertise in VHF, UHF, 700/800 public radio systems.

  • Familiarity with 911/ECW/Airbus equipment.

  • Proficiency in NG911 infrastructure installation, optimization, and maintenance.

  • Experience with NICE public safety installation, optimization, and maintenance.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the latest technologies and troubleshooting techniques in transport, communications, and RF systems.

  • Availability for 15% on-call duty and 25-50% travel within the Phoenix Metropolitan area and the T7 region (WY, NV, CO, UT, AZ, NM).

  • Experience with one or more of the following: P25 Systems, NICE public safety loggers, LMR RF systems, wired/wireless communication systems, networking equipment, or IT networks.

  • Strong knowledge of wired/wireless communication systems (LAN/WAN), including proficiency in computer network installation, configuration, and maintenance of NICE public safety loggers, P25 radio systems, cabling, routers, switches, and bridges.

  • Ability to perform sub-system level troubleshooting as a subject matter expert, consistently aiming for optimal system performance.

  • Robust understanding of standard telephony, dedicated data circuits, and packet switching techniques.

  • High computer literacy with proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access.

  • Self-motivated and self-managed, capable of performing duties remotely with minimal direct supervision.

  • Experience in the configuration and testing of Motorola two-way radio and subscriber products.

  • Solid understanding of Motorola trunking, P25, and SmartZone systems.

  • Proficiency in configuring and testing channel banks, routers, hubs, and switches.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal Motorola employees and external customers.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent in EET, Technical Certified, Project Management, IT Certified, or Military Technical Certified.

  • CET certification required within 6 months of hiring.

  • FCC License and industry certifications are a plus.

  • Maintain a clean driving record.

  • Ability to develop and deliver technical training.

  • Capable of guiding the integration of new tool solutions into team operations.

  • Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain background clearance as required by US government customers.

  • Ability to successfully pass and maintain background checks and security clearances.

This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.

Target Base Salary Range: $75,000 - $95,000 USD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
