Summary

Responsible for daily support of multifunctional business and administrative departmental support, shipping and receiving activities, and control of physical inventories for GP&L Distribution operations. Have the ability to operate in a high-paced, productive environment to support all internal customer requirements in a timely, professional manner.

Pay Range: (Depending on qualifications and experience)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Initiate, monitor, and reconcile orders for services, materials and supplies.

  • Monitor and maintain tool room inventory and purchasing records.

  • Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments.

  • Utilize tool room inventory coding system.

  • Coordinate GP&L personal protective equipment (PPE) testing.

  • Update management on supply chain problems and mitigation actions related to inventory levels.

  • Assist the Logistics Specialist with transporting vehicles for inspections and/or repairs.

  • Assist with maintaining warehouse inventory including keeping accurate records for issuing and receiving tools, documenting conditions, performing minor repairs to tools and ordering replacement tools for worn or damaged items.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)

  • 3 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

Preferred Qualifications Education/ Experience
  • Some college coursework or training beyond the high school level

  • Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, finance, customer service and/or administrative support

  • 2 years inventory maintenance experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Basic knowledge of business practices and procedures

  • Intermediate skills in PC and system applications

  • Excellent customer service and telephone etiquette skills

  • Proficient organizational skills

  • Proficient oral and written communications skills

  • Ability to multitask

  • Ability to adapt to various working environments

  • Ability to work independently and/or in a team environment

  • Ability to work independently and with little to no supervision

  • Ability to lift at least 45 pounds

Licenses and Certifications
  • Valid Class C Texas driver's license
