Job Description

Responsible for the operation of machines in support of the assembly of electrical panels. The job requires technical skills, manual dexterity, and a strong commitment to quality and Safety. The specialized machinery and tools are used automate and streamline the assembly process. The operator's role will be operating, programming, and maintaining this advanced equipment.

Job Responsibilities & Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Operation of panel fabrication and machining machines. These include CNC routers / mills, automated cutting machines, automatic punching machines, DIN rail cutting machines, wire labeling and printing machines, and duct cutting machines.
  • Conducting routine preventative maintenance and diagnosing minor issues or jams in the machinery.
  • Managing the flow of materials to and from the machines, ensuring components are ready for the assembly team.
  • Ability to follow specific program instructions.
  • Setting up the machine for each job by loading the correct digital files, raw materials, and tools.
  • Performing regular checks to ensure the machine is producing parts that meet quality standards.
  • Working with a central software system (E Plan) that links the electrical schematic to the various machines, creating a seamless and error-free production process.
  • Basic electrical and mechanical knowledge.
  • Ability to read an interpret technical drawings, including schematics and blueprints.
  • Clear communication skills with various employees including supervisors, manufacturing team members, engineering, and shipping employees.

Skills and Abilities



  • Education: A high school diploma or GED is required.

  • Experience: 2+ Years of various machine operations preferred, able to use Microsoft Office applications, and Technical School Certificate preferred.

  • Safety Awareness: Must prioritize Safety at all times. Proper use of PPE as determined by job function. Recognizing and reporting potential hazards in the work environment.

  • Attention to Detail: Must have a keen eye for minor defects, follow instructions meticulously, and double-check your own work to ensure accuracy and safety.

  • Problem Solving: Need to be able to troubleshoot issues, identify the root cause of a problem, and either fix it or escalate it to a supervisor. This often requires logical and systematic thinking.

  • Adaptability and a Willingness to Learn: A good machine operator is adaptable, open to learning new processes, and willing to undergo additional training to stay current.
