Remote Business Development Manager, Modular Data Centers needed for a direct hire opportunity with SOC's client to work, can sit anywhere, but will need to come onsite to HQ in Bardstown, KY quarterly/as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary product-facing point of contact for customers interested in modular data center solutions.
  • Source new prospective customers for modular data center solutions.
  • Lead discovery calls and work closely with the sales team to understand client objectives, compliance requirements, and environmental constraints.
  • Translate customer needs into clear, actionable project requirements and high-level specifications.
  • Coordinate development of scope-of-work documents, concept layouts, and design narratives to support proposals and internal engineering.
  • Coordinate with internal engineering and manufacturing teams to align client expectations with technical feasibility.
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies in data center and high-security infrastructure.
  • Help shape the product roadmap for modular data center offerings, balancing customer needs with manufacturing capabilities.
  • Assist marketing with technical content, product brochures, and proposal materials.
  • Represent at trade shows, site visits, and industry events
  • Accurately track activity and pipeline in CRM systems



Knowledge and Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, technical sales, solutions engineering, consulting or a similar role.
  • Background in data centers, modular infrastructure, secure facilities, and mission-critical environments.
  • Knowledge of data center design considerations (power, cooling, racks, cabling, etc.).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interface effectively with government, commercial, and internal stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to draft technical documentation, statements of work, or project requirements.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skill in managing multiple customer engagements.
  • US Citizenship and ability to pass a background check.



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with DOD, IC, or other federal clients.
  • Familiarity with SCIF, HEMP, or RF-shielded infrastructure.
  • Military installation access, experience navigating federal procurement and funding cycles
