Performing Testing Laboratory Specialist - Entry Level

PPG is looking for a Performing Testing Laboratory Specialist - Entry Level to join their team! This will be a part of our Coating Services business unit and handle salt spray and spraying onto automotive parts that are coated with PPG product to make sure coatings are performing as they should. In this role, you will maintain lab equipment, systems and procedures according to QS, ISO and A2LA requirements. You will sit onsite at our Lima, Ohio location and report to the Technical Service Representative - Lead.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate lab facilities under 5-S principles
• Perform mechanical, corrosion and chemical resistance testing according to prescribed specifications and procedure for process validation, PPAP, technology evaluations, etc
• Perform plant corrosion testing/ audits according to the MetoKote Panel Testing Program
• Documents and records all testing performed according to A@LA and accreditation requirements
• Provide support for sales staff and plant operations related to testing procedures, process corrosion testing and OEM specifications
• Implements lab and test procedure training to maintain the highest level of Plant corrosion testing competency.
• maintain all required records and filing systems required to help maintain corporate technology library

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma/ GED required
• Manufacturing experience is helpful
• Ability to understand work instructions
