Key Responsibilities:



  • Set up, operate, and monitor mixing, cooking, and filling equipment in accordance with production schedules.
  • Follow precise batch recipes and formulations to ensure consistency, taste, and color of variegate products.
  • Accurately weigh, measure, and load ingredients into machines based on batch sheets or formulation
  • Monitor machine operations to detect and resolve issues such as jams, leaks, or variances in product appearance or consistency.
  • Set up and operate mixing, depositing, filling, and packaging machinery according to production specifications and schedules.
  • Perform in-process checks, including temperature, viscosity, Brix, pH, and appearance, to verify quality specifications.
  • Accurately document production data, including batch logs, weights, and process parameters.
  • Adjust machine settings and troubleshoot minor equipment issues to maintain production flow.
  • Document production data and downtime using batch records, log sheets, and Redzone.
  • Clean, sanitize, and inspect equipment according to cGMP and cleaning procedures.
  • Assist with line changeovers and equipment cleaning (CIP or manual) following sanitation protocols.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with 5S, Safety protocols, Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), HACCP, and food safety standards.
  • Communicate with quality, maintenance, and supervisory teams to address deviations or issues promptly.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives.
  • Report any food safety or quality concerns to the supervisor or quality department immediately.
  • Follow all company safety policies, including use of PPE and lockout/tagout procedures.


Requirements

Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in food, dairy, or beverage manufacturing; variegate or ingredient manufacturing is a plus.
  • Familiarity with food safety systems (GMP, HACCP, SQF, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, formulas, and standard operating procedures.
  • Basic math and measurement skills, including weight, volume, and temperature conversions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Comfortable working with hot/cold temperatures and standing for extended periods.


Physical Requirements:



  • Ability to stand for long periods (8-12 hours).
  • Frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, and reaching.
  • Tolerance to temperature changes (hot or cold environments).
  • Use of hands and arms to operate equipment and handle materials.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Standing, walking, and climbing stairs or ladders throughout the shift.
  • Exposure to food ingredients, allergens, and cleaning chemicals.
  • Ability to wear the required PPE includes helmet, hearing protection, gloves, hair/beard nets, and safety glasses.


Work Schedule:



  • Full-time; shift work may be required, including rotating shifts, nights, weekends, or holidays, depending on production needs.
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Technical/vocational training preferred
