Wage range $26.90 to $31.60 1st shift hours 7am-5:30pm M-TH 1st shift Kenosha, WI Job Category: Manufacturing Job Details: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned). Supports companies commitment to providing products that meet or exceed customer quality and service expectations by: anticipating and meeting the changing needs of customers; continuously striving to improve quality of products; meeting and exceeding ISO 9001 quality standards and offering suggestions to make improvements whenever possible. The primary function of the Quality Technician is to appraise products according to applicable standards and reject those that do not conform to the specified standard. This is accomplished by utilizing a variety of source information such as, Blueprints, Engineering Drawings, Quality Control Instructions, Purchase Orders, Process Methods, Visual Standards and other information that may be available to ensure full compliance to the customer's specifications. Must possess the ability to accurately operate a variety of precision measuring instruments such as Micrometers, Calipers, Plug and Ring Gages, Hardness Testers, Height Gages, Surface Testing Equipment, Coordinate Measuring Machines, Bore Gages, GD&T, etc. Performs in-process inspections / audits throughout the production floor or on CMM in a timely manner, as assigned. Documents results as appropriate per procedures. While conducting inspections, determines that proper calibrated measuring instruments and techniques are being utilized by Machine Operators. Performs First Piece Inspections for each operation of a production run insuring approval for the production process required by the method. All customer specifications must be met to grant approval of any operation. Performs Inspections of product prior to processing by an outside vendor and indicates approval on Production Floor Traveler. Performs Receiving Inspections as required for incoming product to ensure the product meets quality requirements. Performs Final Inspections of product in a timely manner, ensuring that product meets all customer requirements prior to release. Performs the RMA's paperwork and correspondence with the customers, while processing foundry scrap. Ensure that routine processes on the shop floor are in compliance with the routing method. In the normal course of the workday, the Quality Technician is responsible to be aware of existing non-conformances in the facility and reports all such matters to the Supervisor. Assists the Cell Leaders in completing and dispositioning any NCM documents and materials and removes scrap from the production process. May be required to occasionally assist with other hands-on operations within the company to facilitate the expediting of customers' orders.
