SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Director of Nursing Academic and Clinical Integration plays a critical leadership role in bridging nursing education and clinical practice within an academic health system. This position ensures that nursing students receive a comprehensive, integrated education combining rigorous theoretical instruction with practical clinical experience. The Director works closely with academic institutions and healthcare facilities to align curricula and clinical training with current industry standards, fostering a seamless transition from classroom learning to patient-centered care. The Director must demonstrate excellent communication and relationship management skills to align the interests of diverse internal and external stakeholders, while driving forward the shared goal of producing practice-ready, compassionate, and competent nurses.

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:

Doctoral degree in Nursing, Nursing Education, Nursing Administration, or a related field required. Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in [State]. Minimum 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in nursing education and clinical operations within academic health systems or comparable environments. Proven expertise in curriculum development, clinical partnerships, and program evaluation. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders. Knowledge of accreditation processes and regulatory compliance in nursing education. Commitment to fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
