Responsibilities

As our Barn Manager, you'll be the captain of our equine ship, overseeing every aspect of horse care and managing our fantastic barn crew. We're looking for someone who appreciates the unique talents of our therapeutic horses or is eager to learn about their incredible abilities. Bring your extensive equine knowledge, sound judgment, and positive vibes to create a thriving barn environment!

What You'll Be Galloping Into:

Lead the Herd: Guide and develop our barn staff, from scheduling and training to ensuring everyone is focused and efficient. You'll be the leader they look up to!

Health Guardian: Manage the health and happiness of our beloved horses by scheduling vet, farrier, and dental visits. Your expertise will keep our equine friends in tip-top shape!

Record-Keeping Rockstar: Maintain meticulous health records for our equine herd. Your attention to detail will ensure everything is organized and up to date!

Daily Barn Adventures: Dive into day-to-day tasks like feeding, watering, mucking stalls, and keeping our barn a clean and welcoming space. Every day will be an adventure!

Inventory Wizardry: Keep track of equipment, supplies, and feed inventory. You'll make sure we're always stocked up and ready for action!

Team Collaboration: Work hand-in-hoof with the Manager of Equine Therapy and Equine Specialist to create and implement training schedules for our therapy herd. Teamwork makes the dream work!

Medication Maestro: Dispense and apply prescribed medications and treatments, ensuring our horses receive the best care possible.

Emergency Responder: Be ready to jump into action during any medical equine emergencies. Your quick thinking will save the day!

Positive Vibes Only: Foster a professional and organized workplace where everyone feels valued and motivated to do their best.

Flexibility is Key: Be ready to take on other duties as assigned. No two days will be the same!


Qualifications

  • Associate degree in a related field of study preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years' work experience with equines in a professional setting required.
  • Valid Driver's license required.
