Join a team in responsible for the implementation of a new ServiceNow module within a rapidly growing service management ecosystem. We're building out the Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM module) within ServiceNow, and also improving integrations with our IT Financial services platform (Apptio) to improve transparency of projects and strategic planning across the organization. This project is just staring, so you'll be able to put your mark on a solution that will become the backbone of corporate strategy.
The Developer/Analyst II is responsible for application coding, configuration and testing, and is capable to solve targeted technical problems on their own and work with the team on system performance optimization and interoperability issues.

The Developer/Analyst II will work with business product owners, developers, and quality analysts to drive value delivery and will participate in all phases of Agile software development.

What You'll be Doing:

  • Codes and/or configures, tests, and implements programs and packages. Develops appropriate programs and systems documentation according to SAFe Agile principles and industry standards.
  • Runs unit tests. Monitors test results and takes required corrective action.
  • Competent understanding of both systems and/or business knowledge and able to contribute software engineering advice as well as updating Knowledge Articles as needed.
  • Demonstrates the initiative and method forsolving different problems and proposes effective solutions for those problems.
  • Assists in the deployment of applications or coordinates, implements and configures vendor software applications.
  • Collaborates with the Technical Product Owner and IT partners to create and refine user stories and acceptance criteria for projects.
  • Aids in systems development planning and monitoring.
  • Understands and practices secure coding techniques and processes while using the Agile framework.
  • Participates in structured walk-throughs, secure coding, and technical reviews.
  • Participates with other IT members, customers and other stakeholders in new product reviews, tests and pilots.
  • Actively participates in all Agile team ceremonies.
  • Assist in production support and maintenance of applications as needed and participating in a rotational on-call schedule.
  • This job role may also provide facilitation of activities for Agile teams within ITS as acting Scrum Master.

What You Bring with You (Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Business Information Systems, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent work experience and technical training is required.
  • 2+ years of experience in systems development, programming or business/systems analysis.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow systems, such as ITSM, SPM, and HRSD.
  • Experience as a team member on project teams in a cross-functional environment.
  • Experience on Agile teams is preferred.
  • Experience with JavaScript or a similar language, and familiarity with testing best practices.
  • Knowledge and understanding of structured analysis and technical design techniques.
  • Knowledge of database management and file access methods is desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms.
  • Solid teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work well on cross-functional project teams and foster team commitment to tasks.
  • Knowledge of agile practices in a cross-functional environment preferred.
  • Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs.
  • Ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence.
  • Ability to provide high level of quality and productivity.

The pay range for this position is listed below.

$77,000.00 - $118,000.00

This pay range represents the minimum and maximum base pay for the position, which is determined by factors such as market data, the qualifications required, the level of responsibilities associated with the role and other roles at this same level. Your specific pay rate within this range will be based on your experience, qualifications, and skills compared to the internal team you'll be joining.
