Your role

The CNC Machinist programs, sets up, and operates Swiss-type lathes to produce precision components. Key duties include part inspection, machine maintenance, and cross-functional collaboration in a safety-focused, team-driven environment. You will report to the Machining Manager.

You will

  • Set up, operate, and monitor CNC Swiss-type lathes to produce precision components

  • Interpret technical drawings and work instructions

  • Select and adjust cutting tools, collets, guide bushings, and machine components

  • Perform offsets, tool changes, and program edits at the control panel

  • Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and CMM

  • Write G-code programs using CAD/CAM software based on engineering specs

  • Conduct routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, organized workspace

  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, planning, and production teams

  • Support new product, tooling, and process implementations

  • Foster a collaborative, team-based learning environment

  • Promote safety and perform regular housekeeping duties

  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
To succeed, you will need

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in machining.
  • Set up and operate multi-spindle CNC machines
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and understand GD&T.
  • Read, write, and edit G-code programs.
  • Set, use, and read precision layout and measuring instruments

    EDUCATION OR QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (AS APPLICABLE):

    • Lift and position parts weighing up to approximately no more than 50 pounds periodically.
    • Grip, push and pull carts loaded with parts.
    • Standing up for duration of the shift
