Focuses on maintaining inventory accuracy and bin accuracy in the Stockroom, Production areas, and offsite warehouse(s) to support manufacturing operations. Supports material handling duties when necessary. Responsible for resolving inventory discrepancies, managing inventory transactions in the ERP system, and conducting regular cycle counts and bin audits

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform cycle counts for the following areas:
    • Stockroom: Perform cycle counts of stockroom inventory on a predetermined schedule or as needed, comparing physical counts to on-hand records in ERP system.
    • Production: Coordinate and execute cycle counts in production areas to ensure inventory alignment with physical inventory and on-hand records in ERP system.
    • Offsite Warehouse: Conduct periodic (weekly, monthly, quarterly) cycle counts at offsite warehouse location(s) to ensure inventory accuracy and material traceability.
  • Bin Audits: Perform regular ad-hoc bin location audits within the Stockroom and Production areas to ensure inventory is properly organized and accounted for.
  • ERP Inventory Transactions: Manage inventory transactions in ERP system, ensuring accurate data entry for materials received, issued, transferred, and adjusted.
  • Material Handling Support: Provide material handling support as needed, including pulling materials, replenishing bins, and assisting with returns processing (RMA, Canceled Jobs, Wrong/Misplaced Materials, DMR).
  • Inventory Accuracy: Review inventory transactions and data to identify discrepancies and investigate the root causes of errors.
  • Reporting: Input/audit daily cycle count results, maintaining detailed records and providing reporting on discrepancies, variances and inventory status.
  • Other Duties as Assigned: Perform other tasks as directed by the Stockroom Lead and/or Supervisor to support operations.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent skills experience
  • Associate's degree or Logistics/Supply Chain-related certification preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience working in a warehousing and manufacturing environment.
  • 2+ years end to end Cycle Count ownership and experience
  • Experience in inventory transactions and SAP/ERP/WMS.
  • Basic math skills and computer skills to perform computer related functions and ERP transactions.
  • Ability to obtain forklift certification.
  • Ability to read, write and understand English.

Physical Requirements: Specific physical abilities required for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to push and pull up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to physically move around manufacturing floor.
  • Ability to read documents and communicate clearly with management and coworkers.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment, which may include, but is not limited to, safety shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses.
