This position offers:

* Starting pay of $18.40/hr. up to top pay of $25.97/hr.*

* Quarterly gainsharing bonus potential

*additional shift differential for off-shifts

What You Drive at DTNA

General Purpose of the Position:

Keep buildings and grounds in clean and orderly condition. Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. Duties may include tending furnace, performing routine maintenance activities, and cleaning snow or debris from sidewalk.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.

  • Service, clean, and supply restrooms.

  • Gather and empty trash.

  • Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.

  • Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.

  • Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.

  • Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.

  • Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.

  • Change lighting ballast and bulbs when needed.

  • Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.

  • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.

  • Mow grass and keep sidewalks clear.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma/GED

  • Years of Experience: 0

  • Other Qualifications:

  • Ability to work without direct supervision.

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Valid drivers license and pass DOT physical.

  • Must be able to lift 75lbs

  • Must be flexible in movement, stooping, bending.

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

  • Must have good manual dexterity to be able to use a variety of cleaning and hand tools.

  • Must be available to work all shifts and/or flexible hours.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years light maintenance experience.

  • Knowledge and experience with tools and equipment.
