Wage Scale Position Summary
Assists skilled workers in performing their assigned duties. May be assigned to one specific task or may be transferred from task to task as a project progresses to completion. Tasks are generally unskilled manual duties. Tasks and Responsibilities
Minimum Skills
Oral/Written Communications Minimum Knowledge and Abilities
Ability to dig spreads and level dirt, gravel and sand.
Ability to load and unload materials from company truck by hand or with an assisting device such as a forklift.
Ability to perform a variety of tasks involving dexterous use of hands and tools. i.e. demolishing structures, dismantling forms, cutting insulation material, removing concrete.
Ability to transport needed tools, equipment and materials to/from and around work site
Clean tools, equipment, materials and specified work areas as needed
Follow specific work orders as given by skilled worker or foreman
Ability to work in confined spaces such as man holes and vaults Preferred Qualifications
Possess Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Competencies
Communicates Effectively
Demonstrating Initiative
Serving Customers Minimum Education
High School Diploma or GED Required Certifications
Working Environment
Work is performed outdoors with possible exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions at job sites. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Physical Demands
