Description

MISO is seeking a Senior Information Security Risk Analyst - Infrastructure and Asset Controls to help protect the systems that power 45 million people. In this role, you'll design, implement, and monitor technical controls that manage risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, with a special focus on asset management and applying security requirements across MISO's asset inventories within the CMDB. We're looking for someone with working knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies (Windows, Linux, and networking fundamentals), strong understanding of IT infrastructure processes, and experience with CMDB systems such as ServiceNOW, Remedy, or Cherwell. What you'll do as MISO's Senior Information Security Risk Analyst - Infrastructure and Asset Controls:



  • Conduct risk assessments on new technologies and devices to identify vulnerabilities and recommend effective security controls.
  • Design, implement, and monitor technical controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and organizational policies.
  • Collaborate on asset management programs, ensuring security and compliance requirements are applied across MISO's CMDB and related systems.
  • Develop policies and drive continuous improvement by partnering with cross-functional teams to strengthen security processes and enhance control effectiveness.


What we are looking for as our Senior Information Security Risk Analyst - Infrastructure and Asset Controls:



  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies including Windows, Linux, and networking fundamentals to strengthen security across critical systems.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience in IT infrastructure.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience with controls and compliance and/or experience with CMDB systems.
  • Knowledge in IT infrastructure processes to design and implement effective risk and compliance controls.
  • Experience with CMDB systems (ServiceNOW, Remedy, Cherwell, etc.) to work in securing and managing MISO's asset inventories.
  • Security frameworks and standards (NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, NERC CIP) and risk methodologies to protect the reliability of the energy grid.


Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge.

At MISO we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including 401k, available on your first day of employment.

Starting Salary Range: $103,000 - $121,000 - position is also eligible for an annual bonus if individual performance and company objectives are met.
