As a Security Professional - Government Site - Access Control in Baldwin, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Security Professional with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment within a government-focused location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols of the premises, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to all individuals on site. This is a driving post, so you will be required to operate a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. You will be an important point of contact, assisting with access control and responding to any security-related concerns or incidents as they arise. Pay Rate: $22.62 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner within the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Support a secure environment by monitoring entrances, exits, and general activity throughout the assigned location.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of incidents, observations, and daily activities as required by Allied Universal and site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• A valid driver's license in the job state that meets Allied Universal driver policy requirements is required for driving positions.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
